General Information:
Travelling by air, train, bus to and from La Trinite There are a number of possibilies. The details below do not cover flights but do suggest some of the ways to get to and from La Trinite to airports. There are no doubt other possibilites. There is a bus which runs a few times each day to Auray and Vannes: Bus Timetable - La Trinite - Auray/Vannes: http://www.morbihan.fr/UserFile/Flash/CarteTIM/horaires/HLn1-H2-2010.pdf From Vannes there are services to towns with airports - e.g. Rennes, Quimper and Brest and trains to Paris Train timetables (note sometimes SCNF "trains" shown on SCNF timetables are actually buses) can be researched at: http://www.ter-sncf.com/Regions/bretagne/Fr/Se_deplacer_en_TER/Avant_mon_voyage/Recherche_d_itineraires/Default.aspx There is also a connection from Rennes to St Malo for ferries.
10/06/10 Crew available: Jean-Marie Peyret, french guy avalaible to crew in Cowes/Trinité or others races after. Known very well north-south britanny, many experiences: Figaro solo handed, double handed (eddystone, cowes-dinard, fasnet, solo-duo, figaro...), also crew on: class 40 ('40 degrees','concise','cariberia'), J130,J105,J92,J80, many differant IRC, First, Elan, Xyacht.... + ISAF course. EXTRA REQUIREMENTS & RECOMMENDATION FOR COWES - LA TRINITE RACE
3.23 Second Bilge Pump
3.29.1 Class B AIS Transponder (recommendation only)
4.19 406 MHz EPIRB (Registered with the appropiate authority)
4.22 Extra Lifebuoy
(Do you have an additional lifebuoy within reach of the helmsman, ready for use and equipped with a whistle, drogue, light and danbuoy attached to it by 3m of floating line?
Does at least one lifebuoy contain permanent (e.g. foam) buoyancy?
Is the lifebuoy marked with the name and retro-reflective material?
Is the danbuoy permanently extended or erected by stored power e.g. compressed gas?
Note: a hand extended telescopic danbuoy must be fully extended at all times when racing. It is advised that it should be taped in the extended position).
4.26 Storm and Heavy Weather Sails
(Do you have a storm trysail which is capable of being sheeted independent of the Boom? For the La Trinite race, JOG will accept a mainsail reefed so as to reduce the luff by at least 40% as Part 3.(4.26) of the JOG Offshore Special Regulations Checklist 2010).

JOG will accept the one day first aid course.
