Notice of Race 2010

JOG racing is conducted under JOG General Conditions.

Competitors are invited to enter JOG Races who have a valid IRC Rating and comply fully with
ISAF (RRS) Regulation 20.5.1, 20.6.3 & IRC Rule Part D. (Advertising not permitted).

Class: 3    1.036 to 1.200 TCC.
Class: 4    0.976 to 1.035 TCC.
Class: 5    0.975 TCC and below.

A yacht may, with written permission from the Committee, enter and race in the Class above her
rating using the lowest rating of that Class. This must be for the whole Season.

All yachts must comply with JOG General Conditions and ISAF/ORC Special Regulations;
Category 3 PLUS LIFERAFT (as Category 2) in all races except 1, 4, 6, 7, 10,15 & 16 when
Category 4 PLUS SAFETY HARNESSES (as Category 3) will be sufficient. (Race 10,
Weymouth and Race 12, La Trinite require additional prescriptions. See JOG Prescriptions
and JOG Special Regulations Checklist 2010)

IRC yachts must have a SSS Minimum Base Value of 10 (or equivalent STIX) to take part in
Category 4 races and a SSS Minimum Base Value of 15 (or equivalent STIX) to take part in
Category 3 races
All yachts, before racing, must have completed a Special Regulations Checklist, as required by
General Condition 5(b).

MEMBERSHIP OF JOG

Owners and crews of yachts competing in JOG races are invited to join the Group. The
subscriptions are detailed on the membership form. A proposer and seconder are required and the
Secretary and Officers are always happy to provide introductions.

TROPHY PRESENTATION

Trophies will be presented at the JOG Annual Dinner and Prizegiving 20th November 2010 at the
De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel Southampton.

**** Enter in good time. If a late entry is accepted LATE ENTRY FEES will be charged. Entries must be received in writing and complete with the proper fees at least 8 days before the race date. LATE ENTRY FEES of 25% (rounded up to the nearest £) WILL BE CHARGED if entries are accepted after that date.
