Background:  Some members will be aware that the ISAF Special Regulations for 2010 have tightened up the requirements for lifejackets (Regulation 5.01). Lifejackets, use strips 5 cm x 10 cm. Place at least six strips as high as possible around top of jacket. If jacket is reversible place six strips also around top inside. Lifebuoys, use 5 cm tape. Fix around or on both sides of the body of the buoy at four evenly spaced points. When cutting tape make corners rounded to prevent curling.
