Dates
Sunday 14th August – Registration and Salcombe Gin Prize giving for the Cowes to Torbay feeder race.
Monday 15th – Inshore Racing in Torbay & end of racing prize giving
Tuesday 16th – Inshore Racing in Torbay and Caribbean theme party with live band. (Don’t forget your Caribbean outfits!)
Wednesday 17th – Passage race to Dartmouth
Thursday 18th – Passage race back to Torbay & end of racing prize giving
Friday 19th August – Inshore Racing in Torbay and end of week prize giving and party.
Racing
The 3 Days of inshore racing on Monday, Tuesday and Friday will include 2-3 races a day. The courses will be a mix of round-the-cans events, tailored to prevailing conditions, organised in association with the Royal Torbay Yacht Club.
On Wednesday we will be running an approximately 30 Nm passage race to Dartmouth, followed by a return race on on Thursday Alongside berthing has been arranged.
Classes will be arranged according to the number of entries.
Feeder Race
JOG is running an offshore points series feeder race from Cowes to Torquay on Saturday 13th for the regatta, sponsored by our partners, Salcombe Gin, with appropriate and generous prizes on the Sunday. You don’t need to enter the race to compete in JOG Week as the event will be self-contained.
Event Costs
Five days of racing at £25 per metre loa for members and £37 for non-members. Late entry will be accepted until Wed 10th Aug, subject to the usual late entry fees as detailed in the annual Notice of Race.
Berthing has been reserved for all competitors at Torquay and Dartmouth but costs will be the responsibility of individual owners.
Social Programme
All race days will finish with a Prize Giving, the location will be advised on the day.

Tuesday 16th August – The Portal Company Caribbean Night with Steel Band (Caribbean themed dress) at Royal Torbay Yacht Club
A limited number of sponsor Subsidised BBQ tickets are available at £15 per person. Vegetarian and Vegan options also available on the night.

Wednesday 17th August – Price Giving at the Royal Dart Yacht Club. You can optionally purchase BBQ tickets from the Royal Dart for after the price giving.

Friday 18th August – The Portal Company JOG week prize giving and finish party at Royal Torbay Yacht Club
A limited number of sponsor subsidised buffet tickets are available at £15 per person. Vegetarian and Vegan options also available on the night.

Even More Sailing
Post JOG Week the RTYC is running a further regatta on Saturday 20th/ Sunday the 21st and, thereafter, there is Dartmouth Week starting on Thursday 25th. Please make your own arrangements.
